Hello,

You may try this solution past going into command panel and open the touchpad options (nether Synaptics) and disable the swipe to zoom part. If you don't see Synaptics in command panel then allow me know what do you meet and I'll run across if I can discover a solution. Please provide the make and model of your computer as that will aid in finding a solution.

I have a Dell with Windows 10 with the same problem. I go into setting - devices - mouse and touchpad and did not find what I needed, simply when I put 'zoom' into the search part on the settings window, it gave me 'magnifier.' And then I was able to plough that off, but then information technology keeps turning itself on again. I saw no pick to 'apply' my choice. AND after I turned it off, it puts a niggling magnifier window in the middle of my screen that I have to close. And then it'southward just as information technology was, magnifying when I don't want it to. Cheers in advance for any help!

This has been driving me Basics and I just figured it out! I have 2 laptops, a nice new Lenovo Yoga, which is solved exactly equally described above (Synaptics options). But on my goofy el-cheapo ASUS, i don't take that pick. However.... in the bottom correct at that place's ordinarily a footling "carat" symbol next to the battery display. In that carat if you click information technology is an app called "ASUS Smart Gesture". Run that. Within that app there are all the touchpad gestures and one of them is "click to zoom" which is set by default. This is Non to be confused with the "magnifier", which I besides turned off, merely doesn't affect those accidental zoom gestures from screwing up your viewing! I hope this helps!

So anyone who has an HP I found out how to change it!
1. Go to settings
ii.Go to devices
3.Become to mouse and touchpad
4. Go to the bottom where it says Related Settings and click (additional mouse settings)
5.Get to the last tap to device settings
6. Click on the highlighted item chosen synaptics Touchpad (make sure information technology is highlighted)
7. Go to settings
8. In in that location you lot can do anything with the mouse/keypad (alter the zoom option and all)

I promise that has helped a little more... I was going crazy trying to find it but it just took a piddling more searching to find what the previous person was talking nearly

The touchpad options are in Command Panel and Mouse. Then look for touchpad . Synaptics is the driver name for many touchpad systems. I plow off tapping for click and the zoom and multifinger movements.

I tried the solutions to a higher place just they didn't work for me. Hither is what I finally did to cease this annoying zooming in and out on my desktop or every time I opened some app in Windows x -- best of all and it worked: Click Windows (on bottom left) > Settings (gear icon) > Ease of access > Other options (on left) > Play animation in Windows > Off. Restart your laptop.
